Abstract

For some stations, especially mountain stations, snow is a big problem because high humidity causes it to effectively accumulate above and around the detector. Due to the inaccessibility of most of these stations, it is not possible to remove snow mechanically. Therefore, monitoring data for the neutron component, which are heavily distorted by the variable snow layer, are not suitable for studying many types of variations and require appropriate correction for further use.
